Notes from Elsewhere
Welcome.
This is Notes from Elsewhere—a personal archive of places, music, and moments that shaped how I think, live, and remember.
I’ve lived and across different countries, and this site began as a quiet habit: writing things I didn’t want to lose. Over time, it became a place to collect stories that don’t fit neatly into social media timelines—observations, transitions, and the emotional residue of living elsewhere.
If you’re new here, this page will help you find your way.
What This Site Is About
Notes from Elsewhere focuses on three core themes:
1. Living Elsewhere
I write about everyday life outside Korea—most recently in Sweden and Malaysia.
Not travel guides, but lived experiences: cultural gaps, small surprises, and the quiet adjustments that happen when you stay long enough for a place to feel ordinary.
You’ll find essays about:
- Daily life and social norms
- Living abroad
- Things that only make sense after you’ve lived there for a while

2. Unshared Yet — A Personal Music Archive
Unshared Yet is my podcast and writing series about music and memory.
Each episode and post connects songs to specific moments:
going out alone, coming back alone, staying longer than planned, or leaving when it hurts.
The music I share may be well-known or completely familiar—but the point isn’t discovery.
It’s meaning.

- Unshared Yet — Episode 2: Don’t You Worry Child & Feeling Good
🎧 You can listen to the podcast on Spotify, linked in each related post.
Who This Site Is For
This site might resonate with you if:
- You’ve lived (or are living) outside your home country
- You’re drawn to reflective writing rather than productivity content
- You connect deeply with music, memory, and place
There’s no fixed posting schedule, but the site is actively updated.
About the Writing
All writing here is original and written by me.
Some posts are essays, some are notes, some are tied to podcast episodes.
I occasionally link to external platforms (Spotify, YouTube) only to reference music, not to host or reproduce copyrighted content.
There are no sponsored posts and no paid reviews.
